What is Kids on Tracks?

Kids on Tracks is a youth fund that aims to improve and financially support motorsports in Holland. Special focus lies on the development and guidance of young talented riders. To generate the necessary financial means, Kids on Tracks organises various projects. On of these projects is an online auction with unique items, many of which have been donated and signed by top riders from several racing categories such as World SBK and MotoGP. The most important source for Kids on Tracks is The Great Motorsports Lottery (in Dutch: De Grote Motorsport Loterij). The proceeds of the lottery will enable young motorsports talents in the age category of 12 – 23 years to participate in several Cups in a responsible and competitive manner.

The Great Motorsports Lottery.
The first edition of the lottery took place in 2010. The Dutch Department of Justice issued a permit according to the law concerning games of chance (reference C601/1067897).
For the second edition 200,000 lottery tickets will be issued. The price per ticket is € 5,=. The lottery will be held from 24 February to 23 August 2011. On 24 August, the lottery draw will take place by a notary in Middelburg. All prizes will be drawn. Besides the Jackpot of € 25,000.= (tax free), many other great prizes can be won. The concept of Kids on Tracks is unique in The Netherlands, probably even worldwide. The world of motor sports is having a very difficult time, especially in The Netherlands, where the gap between national and international top level is increasing all the time. At present, there is only one Dutch competitor at World Championship level (GP 125 rider Jasper Iwema). It is becoming more and more difficult to make ends meet financially. That is why participating in The Great Motorsports Lottery is such a brilliant solution: For a very small amount you can actually contribute to achieve great results. On top of that, you have a chance of winning many great prizes.

The Kids on Tracks project is run by The Motorpromo Foundation (in Dutch: Stichting MotorPromo). The foundation was established by a group of motor sports enthusiasts, who have been successful in business for a long time. These people have a shared passion for motor sports, they are real ‘petrolheads’. It is this passion that has lead to the birth of Kids on Tracks. The board of the foundation consists of:
